We are so incredibly excited to welcome Kristina Santiago to our team as our Community School Coordinator. Kristina is an incredible person we’ve had the pleasure to get to know through her work as co-editor of up//root: a we here publication and overall engagement in the library and information science field. We are very much looking forward to working with her on Community School events and hearing her perspective on this work.

More about Kristina:

Kristina Santiago is an Afro-Puerto Rican MLIS candidate and Knowledge River scholar at the University of Arizona iSchool, and a 2021 ALA Spectrum scholar. She's a member of AzLA and REFORMA, currently settled on the O'odham land of the Sonoran Desert. Kristina is a co-editor at up//root: a we here publication, and has presented with the editorial team at the POC in LIS and Library Publishing Forum 2021 conferences. She holds her B.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Arizona College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. An experienced educator & facilitator, Kristina has worked in both public and K-5 school libraries.
