Why or how did you come to join We Here?
To connect with follow members of the BIPOC library community that share a number of interests
What brings you joy in your work?
Seeing people extremely satisfied with whatever product they receive (in my case, access to information and other services they can benefit from).
What brings you joy outside of your work?
What brings me joy outside of work are DIY + handmade projects so I love making things (recycling, upcycling items, etc.,), as well as connecting with other library and book nerds over books and coffee, traveling to different places, visiting museums, research centers and supporting black-owned bookstores and bookclubs, only. My dream goals are to travel a lot more and to possibly open up my very own public house library so that I can (finally) be both a house librarian and my own boss! Thank you!
