Why or how did you come to join We Here?

I joined We Here because I wanted to share professional development resources and information to this community focused on BIPOC library workers. I am thankful for this safe space for us to share and reflect our experiences and resources and to uplift one another.

What brings you joy in your work?

My work is relationship centered. I enjoy collaborating with students, faculty, teachers... whether we are looking for a new streaming database supporting bilingual education or creating equitable and accessible resources, my work gives me the opportunity to connect with my users through a social justice framework and under the values of equity, diversity and inclusion.

What brings you joy outside of your work?

Netflix's Emily in Paris (Just kidding but kudos to those who do like it!). I am excited that I have hummingbird feeder recently and it attracts many humming birds throughout the day. It gives me a sense of peace.
